organizational profile : FPUB is an organisation of leaders from different religions and faiths, including those from Catholicism, Islam, Protestantism, Hinduism and Buddhism. FPUB is a non-hierarchical organisation and is supported by a secretariat, which is divided into the following sections:
1. Finance 2. Publishing 3. International affairs 4. National affairs
Activities FPUB uses a number of different media to promote messages of pluralism and peace: including street banners; pamphlets and stickers; group meetings; discussions; dissemination of information among the religious communities in which FPUB works and government offices. FPUB has also facilitated the formation of interfaith forums in several areas in Central Java, Yogyakarta, Palembang and Lampung.
FPUB has become a model that has inspired similar programmes all over the world. Religious followers, journalists and prominent religious leaders from more than 30 countries from Asia, Europe, America and Australia have visited FPUB. FPUB also worked in cooperation with the Lebert Centre France to organise an international workshop on ?Spirituality and Globalisation? and FPUB staff also attended the ASEM people?s forum in Korea in 2000.
