organizational profile : Institute for Human Assistance of Interfaith Community (LBK-UB) was established in Boyolali by 5 religious leaders: Moslem, Christian, Catholic, Hindu, and Buddha.
The Vision and Mission 1. To conduct activities for community development through developing skills and attitudes in order to transform the community into a better one (social transformation). 2. To strive to promote social solidarity by nurturing the values of democracy within the perspective of interfaith and gender equality. 3. To build network with various strategic stakeholders who have concern of humanity within the perspective of interfaith and gender equality.
Completed programs: 1. Food Emergency Program. 2. Community Development Training for young people embracing 5 different religions. 3. Study seminar on the role of religion within pluralism. 4. Food for Work Program. 5. KSM Advocacy (Self-reliance group). 6. Civic General Discussion in 5 regions in Boyolali. 7. Advocacy for Tirtowening fishing area in Tlatar Boyolali. 8. Microfinance and revolving funds. 9. General discussion regarding the Role of International Economy and Politics on World Peace. 10. Civics education for civil community strengthening.
